All waiting rooms need office kitties

Maxine, the Office Kitty

A local counseling office is the home to this little brat diva darling, Maxine. She’s approximately 4 months old, and was adopted from the local shelter. She and her other kitty pal, Minuchin (I still have to get a snapshot of him), are quite the welcoming committee when you walk in the door. The first time my husband and I ever entered that office, Minuchin greeted us at the door, ushered us to where he wanted us to sit, then immediately jumped on my anti-cat husband’s lap, sat on the book he was going to read, and commenced snuggling.

I do believe that it’s not possible to be uneasy whilst receiving kitty kisses from a cat purring louder than a jackhammer. And from what I’ve been told, even people with allergies have never complained about them. Perhaps not all types of offices are appropriate (ie, doctors, dentists, etc.), but I imagine that a trip to the BMV would be a lot less stressful if you could be entertained by a couple of fuzzy faces :)
