It’s time for another random bullet post. Just a little glimpse of the types of questions I ponder from time to time:

* Does a person with claustrophobia have the right to use
the handicap stalls in public restrooms?

* If the words ‘Cow’ and ‘Bull’ mean the female and male of a species,
what are we referring to when we apply them to the bovine realm?

* What is the difference between a frank and a wiener?

* In radio and television, what is the difference between
a station and a channel?

* If it’s incorrect to use a double negative in a sentence,
how would you correctly re-phrase “Didn’t I tell you not to do that?”

* Do sheep felt when they are out in the rain?

* Are the redesigned US coins an attempt to get collectors to
take them out of circulation and make them worth more?

* If USB stands for UNIVERSAL Serial Bus, why are there different sizes?

* How can you tell whether your gelatin comes from pork or kelp?

* Why can’t I do it all?

This gave me pause at first, because I don't usually stop and think about me very much. I tend not to because I often end up dwelling on the bad stuff. I thought I'd give it a try, though, and "step out of myself" to come up with something more or less objective. It's a daunting task, trying to summarize yourself. I seem to boil down to two distinct traits, though. 1. I'm eclectic. Extremely eclectic. My parents were both teachers, so the love of learning was ingrained very early on. I could never pick just one thing to want to learn or do, though. I love drawing, painting, sculpting, potting, knitting, spinning, beading, photography, gardening, cooking, baking, canning, reading, piano, mandolin, animals, nature, hiking, geocaching, traveling, stamp collecting, astronomy, writing, computer gaming, etymology, HTML, National Parks, survey taking, and tons more things that aren't at the top of my head at the moment. You could take any random subject, and chances are that there is something about it that I want to learn. 2. I was never meant to be organized. Looking at the above, it doesn't take much to guess that my apartment is in disarray with books, supplies, etc. relating to the aforementioned interests. My job doesn't pay a lot, so rather than taking lessons or classes or the like, I do a lot of researching myself. Throw ADD into the mix, and you have a recipe to make sure no one ever sees the carpet and counter tops again. I complain sometimes, and I get down about it periodically, but when I really stop and think hard, I'm glad I'm this way. I get to experience a huge variety of things, and new discoveries are never far away. And since I'm blessed with a supportive husband who loves and puts up with me the way I am, how can it be a bad thing? Now, please excuse me. I have some research to do to find out what it takes to start raising my own silkworms...
