Every so often, I find something so wonderful that I can't keep myself from bragging about it to the world. Today I want to share the joy of Shower Treat Soap.
It started out as a splurge. After I'd had a few salels in my Etsy shop, I treated myself to some fancy soap. Just once, I thought. Then I'd go back to the cheapest from the grocery store shelf as usual. I'd never thought much about soap. It was just an invisible, automatic part of the day. No real difference except price and color, I thought.
I thought wrong. The scent knocked me off my feet the moment I opened the package. I'd never had an urge that strong to run to the shower immediately in my life. It was a large bar of vegan peppermint oatmeal soap in the shape of a flower. I noticed several things when I started using this soap. First, the lather was much more substantial than the mass produced bars I had been using. Then, my skin didn't itch after I dried off. Not even a little. And I felt a lot more relaxed afterward. I shower at night, and I think essential oils help me to sleep better.
Ok, so now we know the soap is good stuff. But it doesn't end there. Everything she makes is made from scratch, using sustainable, natural ingredients. Almost all of her products are vegan-friendly, with the exception of her Goatmeal soap, which comes from a pampered princess of a nanny. And a portion of every sale goes toward Women for Women International.
In addition to bath soap, she also makes laundry soap (you've GOT to try the spearmint eucalyptus), dish soap, body wash, natural deoderant, and solid perfumes. Going green becomes a real pleasure with all this. It's definately worth the extra money, since you are investing in so many things. Buying products like these supports small business, handmade business, green business, and so much more. Need any other reasons to pamper yourself silly every day? ;)
