Well, tonight is the night I finally start recording episode 1 of my podcast. I'm extremely anxious about it. For starters, I'm not overly fond of my own voice. I'm also nervous because there are so many great knitting podcasts out there that I'm afraid mine will get lost in the shuffle, or won't be able to hold a candle to the others.
But I'm going to do this. And I need to be held accountable for it. No Twitter, no LOTRO, no puttering at all tonight until I've got something cohesive that I can edit tomorrow, and if the Heavens smile upon me, post on Friday!
In the meantime, I'd like to share a few of my favorite non-knitting podcasts with you:
Decoder Ring Theatre - Audio dramas in the style of old-time radio pulp shows.
GardenFork - A realistic DIY show where not everything goes perfectly.
John Cleese Podcast - I can't describe it, but if you like John Cleese, you'll love his podcast.
PodQuiz - A weekly, 4-round trivia show, showcasing indie music between the questions and answers.
TD Gaming Podcast - An editorial gaming podcast discussing recent gaming news, flashbacks, and gaming history.
The Classic Tales Podcast - Stories wonderfully narrated by B.J. Harrison.
They Might Be Giants Podcast - Music from one of my favorite bands.
That's not even a percentage of what I subscribe to (I'm a podcast addict), but they're some of the shows I never miss if I can help it. Ok, someone out there be my cheerleader, would ya? And if you see me online tonight, give me a virtual slap on the wrist!
