Have you ever had one of those days where you have motivation and enthusiasm to do something, but you just don't know what? Today I am all fired up to write a blog post, but I've been sitting in front of this New Post screen for a couple hours now, not knowing what to write. And yet, I'm still excited about writing it.
As you can see, this phenomenon is not restricted to writing. The same thing sometimes happens when I pick up my sketch book. The trick (and this took me many years to learn) is to not let this stop you from writing/drawing/etc. I didn't know what to write, so I made that my topic. I didn't know what to draw, so I drew what I was staring at for over an hour. You may not produce your most profound work ever, but you're also not letting your creative processes stagnate. I ended up with a drawing I still like to look at, and when I click "Publish", I'll have a blog post that will remind me not to give up in the future.
Since I do still have the time and space for it, I'd like to share a cute video I saw on the Fabulosity Blog by my friend Joy. Joy spun the awsome yarn used in the video, which I think is Uber Cool :)
